When I started Locals, I had a three-tiered system of benefits based on how much someone was supporting. With the way that Locals is set up as a platform, it has proven much more difficult to see when someone has signed up and to keep track of the tiers. The whole tier-based system is the only reason that Patreon was easier to use. Anyways, because of this, from this point forward I have simplified the tiers for my own ease of operation as follows:
If you give $5 or more, you get access to everything on Locals. All content, commenting rights, posting rights, participation in everything. Nothing will be off-limits to you at this level of support.
If you give $50 or more on a recurring basis, I will send you a Mere Catholicity t-shirt and thank you card in addition to everything that came with the prior tier.
The reason I am announcing this for you guys here is because there may be some of you who joined at a particular level in order to receive something in the mail. If you signed up for a higher tier for this purpose and have NOT received anything in the mail yet, please let me know in the comments below so that I can get in touch with you and make sure you get the benefit that was in motion at the time of your signing up.
But, going forward, what I stated above is now the tier and benefit structure of this page. Once we pass 50 PAID supporters, I'll be able to introduce annual support. At that time, I'll probably have only two tiers: $5 and above monthly, and annual support for extra stuff. But we'll cross that bridge when we get there, Lord willing.

The Mere Catholicity movement runs only through listener support. The work that I (Jonah) do requires time and money. Without the financial support of my Locals community, I would not be able to continue making content. Simple as that. I've been gone again for a time preparing for my ordination. I was ordained a Deacon in the Holy Catholic Church on March 8th, 2025.
It was a joy beyond words. I am now back in full swing with ministry, media, and work.

Good morning everyone. I wanted to quickly update you on the Mere Catholicity Podcast. I’ve been posting videos on my channel, but it has been quite sometime since my channel has had a podcast episode release.
With my new job as a classical teacher, scheduling interviews has been a challenge. However, my plan is to use my summer breaks as time to double down on planning and recording new podcasts. The idea will be to record a ton of interviews that will then slowly release throughout the school year, expiring around the time the following summer arrives. This will ultimately result in a consistent once a month interview.
All that to say, the podcast will resume here in May or June of 2025 with some excellent interviews lined up!
